The Blue Tide Builders Story

Jordan Strader's path in construction started at 19 years old back in 2002, working in the trades and managing crews to learn the business from the ground up. Before that, he'd already built and run his own successful lawn and landscaping company starting at age 16, spending 12 years mastering the outdoor side of the industry.

By 26, Jordan shifted entirely into construction and real estate. Over the years, he has personally rehabilitated more than 500 homes and closed over 1,000 real estate transactions. That experience — walking through thousands of properties, understanding what makes a home structurally sound, and knowing exactly what adds real value — shapes every decision he makes as a builder.

After relocating from Florida to Louisiana, Jordan established Blue Tide Exteriors in 2018 to focus on premium outdoor living spaces. Over the following years, the company completed hundreds of pool, patio, kitchen, and backyard projects across the Shreveport-Bossier area. But the same question kept coming up from clients: can you build us a custom backyard living space? Not a shed. Not a metal shop. A real, finished, climate-controlled room.

In 2025, Jordan formed Blue Tide Builders, LLC as a separate company dedicated to custom living spaces and custom homes. The same hands-on approach, the same design-build philosophy, the same lifetime workmanship warranty — now focused entirely on custom structures and new home construction.

Today, Jordan holds six Louisiana state licenses and carries $2 million in general liability insurance. A family man married for over 20 years and father of two, he lives on a small hobby farm outside Shreveport. When he's not on a job site, you'll find him fishing, hunting, or on the water.
