Backyard Retreats

Man Caves

Your Sunday sanctuary. Big screens, cold drinks, great sound, zero interruptions.

What We Build

Man Caves

A man cave is a detached, climate-controlled retreat built in your backyard, designed for relaxation and entertainment. Unlike a basic shed, a Blue Tide man cave is a real living space: insulated walls, drywalled interior, dedicated electrical circuits, mini-split HVAC, luxury vinyl plank flooring, and finishes that match your home. It's a space you can use year-round in Louisiana's heat and humidity.

Cost Range

$20,000 - $45,000

Who It's For

Is This Your Space?

For the person who needs their own space. Maybe you want to watch the game without waking up the house. Maybe you want a poker night spot that doesn't require cleaning the living room. Maybe you just need a door that closes. This is for you.

Why Custom

Not a Kit. Not a Metal Box.

A metal shop builder will sell you a shell. We build a room. Real insulation keeps the Louisiana heat out. Real HVAC keeps it comfortable. Real electrical means your 75-inch TV, surround sound, kegerator, and mini-fridge all run on dedicated circuits without tripping breakers. Real finishes mean it looks like an extension of your home, not a tool shed bolted to your yard.

Questions

Common Questions

Do I need a permit for a man cave?

If it's under 120 sq ft and has no plumbing or electrical, you may not need a building permit in Shreveport/Bossier. Most man caves exceed that size and include electrical, so permits are typically required. We handle all permits and inspections for you.

Can I put a bathroom in my man cave?

Yes. Adding a half bath or full bath requires plumbing rough-in and a building permit, but it's a common upgrade that transforms the space from a retreat to a self-contained living area.

How sound-isolated is it from the main house?

Very. With spray foam insulation, insulated walls, and a detached location 10+ feet from the main house, you can watch the game at full volume without anyone inside hearing it.

Will this increase my property value?

Yes. A well-designed, finished, climate-controlled structure increases property value by an estimated 1-2% or more. A poorly finished metal shed can detract from it. The difference is the finish quality, not the framing material.
