Work From Home, Not In It
The commute is over. Your office is 30 steps away. Separation without the drive.
What We Build
A detached home office is a purpose-built, climate-controlled workspace in your backyard. It's insulated, wired for power and internet, finished inside and out, and designed for productive work. Unlike a spare bedroom, it provides physical and mental separation between your office and your home.

Why Custom
A productive office needs more than four walls. It needs north-facing windows for natural light without glare. It needs dedicated electrical circuits for monitors, docking stations, and AV equipment. It needs wired internet (Cat6) or a WiFi mesh extender. It needs acoustic isolation so your calls don't echo. It needs HVAC so you can work in August. We design for all of it.
Questions
120 sq ft is deliberately chosen because it falls below the building permit threshold in many jurisdictions, saving weeks and permitting costs. However, adding electrical or HVAC typically requires an electrical permit regardless of structure size. We'll determine what permits apply to your specific project.
A dedicated home office may qualify for home office tax deductions. A detached structure used exclusively for business may strengthen your case. We recommend consulting a tax professional about your specific situation.
We run a Cat6 ethernet cable from your main house during construction, or set up a WiFi mesh extender system. Wired Cat6 is more reliable for video calls and large file transfers.
